If you’re no stranger to this site, then surely you’re familiar with this artist. Yung Welch is an 18 year old producer from Tulsa, OK who has just released his eighth project to date. Hailing from the small city, the 18 year old producer hasn’t had much for local influence. His creativity stems from outside the realm he lives and breathes to create extra-terrestrial instrumentals. The synths he chooses shine like stars and his melodic soundscapes are as freeing as zero gravity. I am very happy to be able to premiere this project to public. Yung Welch has been keeping me updated frequently with this one, so I know how much effort he’s put into it. Here’s what he had to say about the EP:
I thought this was the first tape where I really broke my boundaries as an artist and the constraints that were put on me by numerous expectations placed by the rap/producing community. I have multiple songs that break the limits of being a one track song and although that may not be the first time it’s ever been done, it encourages the audience into embracing the [abstraction] and differences between mainstream music and music created by a teenager in his room.I think this tape is an evolution of the “yungwelch” sound I’ve created since the beginning of my music career, and this provides access to new types of interests of music intuition.Nobody has heard this sound before. At least if they have, I haven’t met them.
